Bahrain’s King lauds Pakistan’s role in Iran-US ceasefire

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 9th Apr, 2026) King of Bahrain Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa on Thursday conveyed his deep appreciation to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for Pakistan’s success in bringing about a ceasefire between Iran and the U.S. that has created the prospects for lasting peace in the region.

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif held a telephone call with Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa.

During their warm telephonic conversation, the prime minister thanked King Hamad for supporting Pakistan’s peace efforts.

He also appreciated the exemplary restraint demonstrated by the Bahraini leadership in the wake of attacks over the past six weeks.

PM Shehbaz Sharif also offered condolences over the loss of precious lives in Bahrain, during the recent hostilities and prayed for swift recovery of the injured. Both leaders agreed to continue working together for regional peace and stability.

In his post on X, the prime minister, said that during the conversation they reaffirmed their commitment to continue to work closely for regional peace and stability.
