SIALKOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Jul, 2026) Under the project "Catalyzing Growth for Women Economic Empowerment in District Sialkot,
Pakistan)," implemented by a non-governmental organization (Baidarie) with the support of
UN Women Pakistan, an Awareness Raising Session on Economic Resilience and Women's
participation in decision-making was successfully conducted in Tulsipur, Tehsil Pasrur.
The session was facilitated by Asif Raza Project Manager Baidarie, Salamat Ali Principal
Allama Iqbal Science school of education, Amina Salamat Teacher, Shamim Mushtaq
Principal, Government Primary School Aal and Sadia Neelum Social Organizer, Baidarie.
The speakers highlighted the importance of strengthening the capacity of women and girls
to navigate economic uncertainties, maintain financial stability and build resilient livelihoods.
Participants also learned about the significance of access to resources, decent work
opportunities and financial inclusion as essential pathways toward women's economic
empowerment.

economic decisions, actively participate in income-generating activities and play meaningful
roles in decision-making processes at the household, community and professional levels.
Through interactive discussions, participants gained a deeper understanding of how women's

communities.
The session resulted in enhanced awareness among participants regarding economic resilience,
financial inclusion and the importance of women's meaningful participation in decision-making,
contributing to the promotion of inclusive and sustainable development.
