MULTAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Jul, 2026) The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) sealed a bakery and discarded more than 100 dozen rotten eggs during a crackdown in Khanewal.
According to the PFA spokesperson, the team conducted a raid at 19-NR Kacha Khoh and recovered foul-smelling, fungus-infested and spoiled eggs from the bakery’s storage area.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>Officials said the contaminated eggs were intended to be used in the preparation of cakes, rusks, biscuits and other bakery items.
The team destroyed over 100 dozen unfit eggs on the spot, while an FIR was registered against the bakery owner for violating food safety regulations. The bakery’s production activities were also suspended until necessary improvements were made.
