Baleelah, Al-Qasim to deliver Friday sermons at Two Holy Mosques

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th May, 2026) Sheikh Dr Bandar bin Abdulaziz Baleelah will deliver the Friday sermon and lead prayers at the Grand Mosque in Makkah, while Sheikh Dr Abdul Mohsen bin Mohammed Al-Qasim will deliver the Friday sermon and lead prayers at the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah, as millions of worshippers and pilgrims prepare to attend Friday congregations at islam’s two holiest sites.

According to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the two scholars have been designated to lead the Friday prayers at the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque on 12 Dhul-Hijjah 1447 AH.

Large numbers of pilgrims remaining in the holy cities after completing the major Hajj rituals are expected to attend the Friday prayers along with worshippers from across the Kingdom and abroad.

SPA told APP that authorities responsible for the affairs of the Two Holy Mosques have finalized all arrangements to facilitate worshippers and ensure smooth movement at both mosques.

Crowd-management, guidance, sanitation and security services have been strengthened to accommodate the expected congregations in a safe and comfortable environment.

Authorities have also deployed field teams and service personnel across prayer areas, courtyards and entrances to assist worshippers and help maintain orderly movement.

The Grand Mosque in Makkah and the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah continue receiving large numbers of pilgrims and visitors during the blessed days of Dhul-Hijjah, reflecting Saudi Arabia’s continued efforts to serve worshippers and visitors to the Two Holy Mosques.
