QUETTA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th Jun, 2026) Provincial Minister for Irrigation Mir Muhammad Sadiq Umrani on Thursday said that the coalition parties in the coalition provincial government of Balochistan have been trying since the beginning to solve the problems of the people of the province on a priority basis.

He said that in the current budget, funds are being allocated for various sectors including health, education, communication, irrigation, etc.

He said that keeping in mind the importance and usefulness of these sectors so that people could get economic development opportunities along with providing facilities.

He expressed these views while giving an interview to a private tv channel.

On this occasion, he said that the provincial government headed by Mir Sarfraz Bugti would include lively proposals for solving the problems being faced by various areas, including the budget, on the basis of equality, in consultation with the coalition parties in the government.

He said that he himself had recently gone to Islamabad where the Federal government is not ready to give anything to the provinces, but the federation is demanding that the provinces provide resources to the federation, therefore, the provincial government, despite its limited resources, is working hard to develop the people.

The provincial minister said that due to the specific conditions of the province, there is a war situation in the state, so in this regard, the provincial government is trying to completely eliminate terrorism so that the development process could continue at a fast pace.

In response to a question asked regarding health and clean water supply, he said that as per the promise of Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, a modern hospital is being built in Dera Murad Jamali with a huge amount of money, where facilities would be available for the treatment of various diseases besides liver transplant.

He said that with the completion of this hospital, millions of people of the province would have access to treatment and medical resources.

Mir Muhammad Sadiq Umrani said that the current provincial government has formulated a comprehensive plan of Rs 62 billion for the Pat Feeder Canal.

He said that this canal was built since 1970 but has not been worked on and three thousand cusecs of water comes into this canal, now work is going on rapidly on this canal, three more projects including cleaning the Kir Thar Canal are being planned.

He said that canals have been dug, the completion of these projects and the settlement of millions of acres of land would make people happy and the area will develop.

Umrani said that work is also underway on more than 200 small dams in different areas of the province so that people would not face difficulties in obtaining clean water.

He said that our resources are limited but our determination is great, so the flag that we have raised with good intentions for the development and prosperity of the province would never be allowed to fall.
