QUETTA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st May, 2026) In a landmark step toward women’s empowerment, digital inclusion, and economic independence, Balochistan has inaugurated its first Entrepreneurship AI Lab for Women.
The lab was formally opened by Dr. Rubaba Khan Baloch, Adviser to the Chief Minister on Women’s Development, in collaboration with the Women Development Department and DOCH Private Limited.
The AI Lab is designed to equip women with training in artificial intelligence, digital skills, business development, and modern technology, enabling them to become self-reliant and play a meaningful role in national progress.
Speaking at the inauguration, Dr. Rubaba Khan Baloch highlighted that Balochistan’s women possess immense potential, and the government is committed to aligning them with the demands of the modern era.
She emphasized that access to education alone is not enough; women must also be provided with opportunities in technology and entrepreneurship. The lab, she said, will serve as a platform where women can harness AI, digital innovation, and entrepreneurial expertise to turn their aspirations into reality.

Dr. Rubaba Baloch noted that AI is reshaping economies, education, and business worldwide, and it is vital that women in Balochistan are included in this global transformation.
She reaffirmed the government’s commitment to expanding women’s participation in the digital economy and strengthening their role in sustainable development.
Rubina Zehri, Manager of the Benazir Women Center, shared details of the program, explaining that women will receive practical training in AI, digital marketing, business planning, innovation, and applied technology.
The lab’s vision, she said, is to empower women under the theme “Innovate, Entrepreneur, and Lead”, equipping them with equal opportunities, confidence, and networking platforms to drive positive change in their lives and contribute to Balochistan’s economic growth.
Secretary of the Women's Development Department, Saira Atta, also attended the ceremony.
