Balochistan government approves overseas treatment for acid attack victim Dr. Mahnoor Nasar

QUETTA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Jun, 2026) On the directive of Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, the provincial government has decided to send Lady Doctor Mahnoor Nasar abroad for advanced medical treatment following the acid attack she suffered earlier this year.

According to Aide to the Chief Minister on Political and Media Affairs Shahid Rind, the Chief Minister’s Secretariat has formally issued instructions to the relevant authorities to arrange Dr. Mahnoor Nasar’s treatment overseas. Currently, she is undergoing medical care at Karachi’s Aga Khan Hospital, where her treatment is expected to continue for another week before she is transferred abroad.

Shahid Rind confirmed that the government has initiated necessary procedures to send Dr. Mahnoor Nasar to the United States for specialized care. He emphasized that the provincial administration is committed to utilizing all available resources to ensure the best possible medical facilities for the victim. “The government of Balochistan is determined to provide Dr. Mahnoor Nasar with the highest standard of treatment and support,” he added.
