QUETTA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st May, 2026) A government delegation led by Balochistan Home Minister Mir Ziaullah Langau held important talks with opposition leaders in Quetta, focusing on madrassa registration and broader political issues.
The delegation included provincial ministers Mir Ali Madad Jattak, Mir Barkat Rind, and other officials. From the opposition side, JUI-F provincial chief Senator Maulana Abdul Wasey, Opposition Leader in the Balochistan Assembly Mir Younus Aziz Zehri, Balochistan’s PAC Chairman Asghar Tareen, MPA Syed Zafar Agha, and MNA Usman Badini were present, along with several other leaders.
During the meeting, it was agreed that dialogue between the government and opposition would continue in the future to address issues collectively.
Speaking at the meeting, Home Minister Langau described madrassas as “strongholds of Islam” that have historically united the Muslim Ummah.
Provincial Minister Mir Ali Madad Jattak added that the government’s stance on madrassas must be understood clearly, stressing that the provincial administration has always prioritized taking opposition and religious parties into confidence.
He noted that the government delegation’s visit itself was proof of the seriousness with which the authorities are engaging the opposition.
The meeting concluded with a commitment to maintain dialogue and cooperation, reflecting a joint effort to strengthen political harmony in the province.
