QUETTA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Jun, 2026) Assistant to the Chief Minister Balochistan for Political and Media Affairs Shahid Rind on Monday said that provincial government has taken immediate notice of the alleged violence against a local woman from Quetta.

He said that on the special directive of Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti, Personal Staff Officer Syed Amin immediately contacted the police authorities, after which an First Information Report (FIR) has been registered against the accused involved in the incident and legal action has been initiated.

Shahid Rind said that the Chief Minister of Balochistan has directed that a transparent, impartial and merit-based investigation of the incident should be ensured at all costs and no concession to be made to any responsible person.

He said that violence, harassment and any kind of abuse against women is intolerable, the Balochistan government would ensure timely provision of justice to the victim and those involved in the incident could be punished to the fullest extent of the law.
