Balochistan Police playing vital role to end terrorism for maintaining durable peace: IG

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 30th May, 2026) Inspector General (IG) Balochistan Police Muhammad Tahir said that the Balochistan Police had made unparalleled sacrifices and would continue taking effective measures against terrorism and crime to protect the lives and property of the people.

He said that the Balochistan Police was playing the role of a vanguard in the fight against terrorism.

Ahead of Eid ul Azha, he expressed these views while visiting the residence of a CTD official who was martyred during an operation against terrorists in Nohsar, Mariabad.

The IG offered Fateha and condolences to the bereaved family. DIG Quetta Imran Shaukat and other senior officers were also present on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, IG Muhammad Tahir said that the sacrifices of the martyrs would never go in vain and that it was the responsibility of the department to provide every possible support and facility to the families of the martyrs.

On Eid-ul-Azha, IG Balochistan Police Muhammad Tahir visited various police stations in the Sariab Circle, where police officers and jawans on duty exchanged Eid greetings with him.

Interacting with the citizens, the IG said that ensuring the protection of the public remained the top priority of the Balochistan Police and that the force would continue to fulfil its responsibilities with dedication.

He further said that Eid-ul-Azha teaches the values of sacrifice, selflessness, brotherhood, and love. He added that the people of Balochistan had always demonstrated patience, courage, perseverance, and cooperation during difficult times.

The IG Police also visited Nohsar Police Station and the Baleli Joint Check Post, where he met police, FC, and Customs personnel performing duty and inquired about their well-being.
