QUETTA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Jun, 2026) The Balochistan government innovative digital business initiative has achieved outstanding success, turning an initial investment of Rs. 200 million into revenue exceeding Rs. 1 billion.
To celebrate this milestone, a ceremony was held at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat in Quetta, where ten leading digital influencers from the province were awarded honorary certificates. The event also reaffirmed the government’s commitment to expanding the digital economy.
Representing Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, Provincial Minister for Planning and Development Mir Zahoor Ahmed Buledi distributed certificates among the top ten influencers. The ceremony was attended by Provincial Home Minister Mir Ziaullah Langove, Parliamentary Secretary for Information Technology Mir Abdul Samad Gorgij, Advisor on Youth and sports Meena Majid Baloch, Sardar Kohyar Khan Domki, Haji Ali Madad Jatak, senior officials, and members of civil society.
In his address, Minister Mir Zahoor Ahmed Buledi highlighted that generating Rs. 1 billion from just Rs. 200 million in investment demonstrates the extraordinary potential of smart and strategic investments in the modern era.
He stressed that the global IT sector offers vast opportunities, with nearly 500 million jobs available worldwide, and urged Balochistan’s youth to equip themselves with advanced skills to seize these prospects.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>He noted that under Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti’s leadership, historic steps are being taken to integrate marginalized communities, youth, and underdeveloped regions into the national development mainstream. The upcoming provincial budget will prioritize human resource development, research, skill enhancement, and modern education, alongside investments in health and education infrastructure.
Mir Zahoor Ahmed Buledi revealed that over 3,000 schools have been activated in Balochistan, while universities received Rs. 8 billion in grants last fiscal year.
The next budget will emphasize research, artificial intelligence (AI), and advanced technology, with special support for institutions working in these fields.
He also mentioned that the Balochistan Education Endowment Fund is providing access to world-class universities for students from minority groups, transgender individuals, and disadvantaged communities, ensuring equal opportunities for all.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, participants praised the government’s initiatives to strengthen the digital economy, enhance youth capacity, and promote modern technology.
Shields were presented to the top ten DG Biz performers, while Program Director Jawad Khan received a special shield from the Parliamentary Secretary and Secretary IT.
