Ban imposed on sugarcane cultivation near Ghotki-Kandhkot Bridge Road

SUKKUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Apr, 2026) Commissioner Sukkur on Monday imposed a complete ban under Section 144 on the cultivation of sugarcane within 500 meters on both sides of the Ghotki-Kandhkot Bridge Road in District Ghotki.

According to the official notification, dense sugarcane crops create visibility issues, posing challenges for security monitoring and law enforcement operations.

The restriction aims to ensure smooth security arrangements in the area.

The ban will remain in effect for 90 days from April 13, 2026. Strict legal action will be taken against violators.
