Central bank stated that July 1 will be observed as a Bank Holiday.
The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has announced that all banks across the country will remain closed for public transactions on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, due to the annual bank holiday observed at the start of the new fiscal year.
According to notification, the central bank stated that July 1 will be observed as a Bank Holiday, and the SBP will not conduct public dealing on that day.

As a result, all banks, Development Finance Institutions (DFIs), and Microfinance Banks (MFBs) will remain closed for customer services and public transactions.
However, the SBP clarified that employees of banks, DFIs, and MFBs will attend their offices as usual and carry out internal operations and official duties.
