Battagram, Mansehra review anti-polio campaign, stress strong monitoring

MANSEHRA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Apr, 2026) Separate review meetings were held in Battagram and Mansehra to assess the ongoing anti-polio campaign, with district administrations emphasizing complete coverage, effective monitoring, and intensified field performance.

In Battagram, Deputy Commissioner, Ishtiaq Ahmed chaired a meeting attended by senior officials including the District Police Officer, health authorities, and EPI staff. The session reviewed early campaign performance, vaccination coverage, field challenges, and the monitoring mechanism.

Officials reiterated that the anti-polio campaign was a national responsibility and directed field teams to ensure no child is left unvaccinated.

In Mansehra, Deputy Commissioner, Mian Behzad Adil presided over a review meeting, where team performance, field progress, and missed children were discussed in detail. He stressed strict monitoring of field teams, warned against negligence, and appreciated better-performing teams.

Both district administrations reaffirmed their commitment to eradicating polio, stating that all available resources would be utilized to ensure effective implementation of the campaign and achieve the goal of a polio-free region through coordination, supervision, and teamwork.
