'Battle of Truth' celebrations schedule issued for Sargodha

SARGODHA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 7th May, 2026) The district administration has released a comprehensive schedule for the “Battle of Truth” celebrations to be observed with enthusiasm and national spirit across the district.

According to a handout issued here on Thursday, the arrangements have been finalized on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Hussain Ahmed Raza Chaudhry, while responsibilities have been assigned to various government departments for the successful conduct of the events.

According to the schedule, the celebrations will commence on the morning of May 9 with Quran Khawani and special prayer ceremonies in mosques for the martyrs of the nation, as well as for the country’s peace, stability, and prosperity.

A central ceremony will be held at 11:00 AM at the Arts Council Complex in connection with the “Battle of Truth.” Commissioner Sargodha Division, Regional Police Officer (RPO), Deputy Commissioner, District Police Officer (DPO), officers from district and divisional departments, officials of the Pakistan Army and Pakistan Air Force, members of civil society, students, and people from different walks of life are expected to attend the event.

A grand rally will also be taken out following the ceremony, while various political, social, and government organizations will organize rallies and special programmes throughout the day.

The district administration has also prepared two special floats that will start touring different parts of the city from May 8 to highlight the success of the “Battle of Truth,” national unity, and the sacrifices rendered by the armed forces of Pakistan.

As part of the celebrations, a photo exhibition titled “Battle of Truth” will be arranged at the gallery of the Arts Council Complex, showcasing historic moments and national achievements.

A special concert will also be held at 7:00 PM at the PHA Office on University Road, followed by a fireworks display.

The city of Sargodha will be decorated with national flags and portraits of national leadership and armed forces personnel to mark the occasion with patriotic fervor.

Deputy Commissioner Hussain Ahmed Raza Chaudhry has directed all relevant departments to ensure close coordination, foolproof security, cleanliness, and efficient administrative arrangements so that citizens can participate in the celebrations in a peaceful and enthusiastic environment.
