FAISALABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th May, 2026) Director Livestock Dr Haider Ali Khan said that best veterinary facilities would be ensured during Eid-ul-Azha.
He visited Chiniot district to review Eid-ul-Azha arrangements and ongoing development projects of the Livestock and Dairy Development Department Punjab.
During visit, he carried out a detailed inspection of veterinary facilities and overall arrangements being provided by the Livestock Department for traders, farmers and citizens at the cattle market established for Eid-ul-Azha.
He reviewed the attendance and performance of deployed staff, veterinary camps, treatment facilities, availability of medicines, tick-spray activities and precautionary measures adopted for the protection of sacrificial animals.
He also inspected facilities being extended to cattle traders and buyers at the market.
He appreciated the performance of the field staff and directed the concerned officers and officials to ensure provision of the best veterinary services, protection of animal health and effective monitoring during Eid-ul-Azha so that maximum facilities could be provided to buyers and traders.

The assistant commissioner appreciated the performance of Livestock Department Chiniot and the veterinary facilities being provided for cattle traders and livestock owners.
Later, the director livestock also inspected ongoing development and uplift projects in Chiniot district.
In this connection, he visited the office of Additional Director Livestock, Civil Veterinary Hospital, Deputy Director Livestock Office and the District Diagnostic Laboratory Chiniot.
He reviewed ongoing construction work, veterinary healthcare services, ultrasound facilities and diagnostic services at the laboratory and issued necessary instructions to ensure timely completion of projects and maintenance of quality standards.
Dr Haider Ali Khan emphasized that strengthening veterinary infrastructure and providing modern diagnostic and treatment facilities would help livestock farmers obtain better healthcare services for animals and improve effective monitoring and control of livestock diseases.
