Bhutto's Nartyrdom not the silencing of a voice, but awakening of a nation’s conscience:Says Bilawal Bhutto Zardari

LARKANA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th Apr, 2026) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari stated in his speech that we pay a red salute to the martyred leader of the people, Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, on his 47th martyrdom anniversary.He was a visionary leader whose sacrifice became the timeless voice of democracy and the dignity of the people. His martyrdom was not the silencing of a voice, but the awakening of a nation’s conscience

He addressed the Party Workers of Larkana Division on eve of 47th death anniversary of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto in Garhi Khuda Bakhsh Bhutto Mausoleum.

He added Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto gave the nation the unanimous Constitution of 1973, empowered the people with the power of the vote, gave a voice to the marginalized, united the Ummah, and provided an invincible foundation for Pakistan’s sovereignty.Today, we pledge to turn his dream into reality in the form of a strong, democratic, and welfare-oriented Pakistan.

He said “The Pakistan Peoples Party is a peace-loving party. We believe that war is not a solution to any problem; the loss from war is borne by ordinary people. In the recent conflict involving the United States, Israel, and Iran, the poor populations around the world are suffering the consequences in the form of rising petroleum product prices. We pray that this war ends soon and peace is established.”

He further stated "In view of the economic difficulties, we have decided to provide subsidies to our small farmers through the Benazir Kisan Card to offset the rising prices of diesel and petrol. The provincial government is fully prepared to launch this program, under which financial assistance will be provided to the farmers of Sindh. At the same time, we have decided that your Sindh government will introduce a subsidy for motorcycle riders, so that even if we cannot help completely, we can provide assistance to the extent possible, he says. "

"Under the current circumstances, the Pakistan Peoples Party is ready to work together with the Federal government.

We recognize that this is a difficult time for everyone, in which both federal and provincial governments are having to utilize their resources. Therefore, we strive to ensure that the first right to these resources belongs to the poor, farmers, and laborers of this country, he told"

Shaheed Bhutto revolutionised Pakistan’s economy, agriculture, and industrial sector, empowering the working class and giving them their due rights. His visionary labour reforms and land reforms gave the common man dignity and ownership,” he said.

He said that Bhutto’s contributions to nuclear technology strengthened Pakistan’s defence, and his dynamic foreign policy made Pakistan a respected voice in the Muslim world and on the global stage.

“Today, as we remember his ultimate sacrifice, we reaffirm our commitment to his vision of a democratic, strong, and prosperous Pakistan. Shaheed Bhutto lives on in the hearts of the people,” he said.

This philosophy of Bhutto did not allow dictatorship to take root in the country. She said that all the people who love democracy understand that power is in the ballot box.

He said more “On this day, we pledge to uphold his ideals, for which he sacrificed his life. We are committed to Zulfikar Ali Bhutto’s mission for the development and prosperity of Pakistan. The dream of the founder Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto was to create a Pakistan where justice prevails. May democracy flourish and every citizen have the right to utilise all his potential,”
