Bilal Azhar Kayani visits FPCCI, interacts with business community

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Apr, 2026) Minister of State on Finance Bilal Azhar Kayani on Saturday visited the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) and interacted with office-bearers of the FPCCI.

Upon arrival, prominent business leaders including FPCCI Vice Presidents Asif Sakhi and Nasir Khan, Mian Zahid Hussain, Zubair Tufail, Mirza Ikhtiar Baig and Sham Lal Mangalani welcomed the Minister.

The Minister of State was briefed on the business-related matters.

While speaking to the members of business community and replying to their questions, he said that the issues of business community will be resolved in line with Prime Minister's vision on priority basis.

He said that the cooperation of private sector is essential to expand the tax net.

The Minister said that the Federal government did not increase the prices of oil products for three weeks, which went up in the international market in the wake of US-Iran war.

He said that the government avoided to put burden on the people and took austerity steps.

FPCCI Vice President Asif Sakhi said that the business community stands with the government.

He said that reforms in the tax system and reduction in the cost of doing business are the need of the hour.

Vice President Nasir Khan said that the visit of Bilal Azhar Kayani reflects growing trust between the government and the business community.
