BISP playing vital role for low-income families: BA Speaker

QUETTA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th May, 2026) Speaker of Balochistan Assembly Captain (R) Abdul Khaliq Khan Achakzai on Wednesday appreciated the performance of Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) and said that this program is playing an important role for low-income families and vulnerable sections.

He said this while talking to a delegation of (BISP) called on him here.

The delegation briefed the Speaker about the ongoing initiatives in the province during the meeting.

Director General Regional BISP, Dr. Jalal Faiz and Director General Internal Audit Romana Gul Kakar apprised the Speaker about the ongoing programs for the deserving and vulnerable sections.

The briefing included Benazir Kafalat Program, Nishonma Program, Educational Scholarships, Registration and Verification, Grievance Redressal and Service Delivery in Remote Areas.

On this occasion, the Speaker asked questions regarding the coverage of the program, facilitation of deserving families, transparent registration, women’s access and grievance system, which were answered by the delegation.

Speaker Abdul Khaliq Khan Achakzai stressed the need to further improve service delivery and transparency.

The Director General thanked the Speaker and said that BISP would continue to take steps to improve service delivery and public access in the province.
