BISP retailer caught deducting money from women

KOT ADDU, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Mar, 2026) A retailer of the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) was caught allegedly deducting money from beneficiary women.

According to official sources, Assistant Director Jehanzaib Kharral conducted a surprise inspection after receiving complaints that a retailer was illegally deducting Rs500 from women receiving their BISP payments. During the inspection, the retailer operating at Shah Ji mobile Shop was caught red-handed while making the unauthorized deductions.

The Assistant Director immediately intervened and ensured that the deducted amounts were returned to the affected women on the spot. Following the action, the retailer’s BISP payment device was blocked to prevent further exploitation of beneficiaries.

Officials said that strict action has been initiated against the retailer involved in the alleged fraud. Authorities also reiterated that no deductions are allowed from beneficiaries under the Benazir Income Support Programme, and anyone found violating the rules will face legal consequences.

The move has been widely appreciated by local residents, especially women beneficiaries, who said such actions are necessary to stop the exploitation of deserving families.

Authorities further urged BISP beneficiaries to immediately report any illegal deductions or misconduct so that prompt action can be taken against those involved.
