Blind murder solved, mother, stepfather among 3 arrested

FAISALABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 31st May, 2026) The police have solved a blind murder of two children and arrested their mother, stepfather and an accused on murder charges.

Police spokesman Muhammad Tariq said here on Sunday that the police solved the shocking murder of young brother and sister, Wasif and Fatima, in the jurisdiction of Buchiana police station and arrested their mother Nusrat Bibi, stepfather Arshad and their accomplice Naseer for their alleged involvement in the double murder.

He said that the case, initially appearing as an unexplained death incident, was successfully cracked by SHO Buchiana Sohail Aslam through the use of modern technology, human intelligence and a comprehensive investigative strategy.

During investigation, the police found that the deceased children had become upset with the suspects and had moved to their biological father. The suspects later persuaded the children to return with them after assuring that no harm would come to them.

However, investigators revealed that the accused subsequently murdered the siblings over personal grievances and animosity.

The spokesman said that preliminary findings suggested that the suspects had also attempted to conceal the crime by portraying the incident as a suicide in a bid to mislead law enforcement agencies and evade justice.

Meticulous police investigation and modern forensic evidence ultimately exposed the alleged conspiracy and uncovered the facts behind the killings, he added.

Meanwhile, City Police Officer (CPO) Tanveer Hussain commended the police team for tracing the case and arresting the suspects.

He said that those responsible for taking innocent lives deserved no leniency and would be brought to justice under the law.

The police would continue its crackdown against individuals involved in serious crimes and ensure strict legal action against offenders to maintain public safety and uphold the rule of law, he added.
