FAISALABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Jul, 2026) Roshanwala police claimed to have solved a blind murder case within a short span by arresting the prime accused on charge of killing a young man over a love rivalry.

Police spokesman said here on Thursday that Nadeem Gill resident of Chak No.83-GB under the cover of darkness attacked Shehzad Masih of the same locality and killed him under mysterious circumstances on July 18, 2026.

After receiving complaint, SHO Roshanwala police station started investigation on scientific lines and arrested the accused Nadeem Gill in a successful raid.

Initial investigations revealed that Nadeem Gill was interested in his cousin while the deceased also reportedly had relations with the same girl which led to growing hostility between the two.

During interrogation, the accused confessed to commit the murder over the relationship dispute.

Acting on his disclosure, the police recovered the weapon used in the crime along with blood-stained clothes believed to have been worn during the incident while further investigation was under progress, spokesman added.
