SUKKUR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Jul, 2026) The Begum Nusrat Bhutto Women University (BNBWU) Sukkur, on Saturday has announced its support for the "One Tree in the Name of Mother Sindh" plantation campaign.
The week-long campaign, being held from July 24 to 31, 2026, has beinitiated by KTN, KTN news, Daily Kawish and Koshish to promote environmental protection and climate responsibility in Sindh.
Under the leadership of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Tehmina Nangraj, the university administration said the initiative reflects a shared commitment to preserving Sindh's natural heritage for future generations.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>The university has appealed to its students, faculty, staff and the general public to plant at least one tree at their homes, in their neighbourhoods, villages and cities.
A tree planted today will contribute to cleaner air, a healthier environment, and a greener Sindh tomorrow, the university stated, adding that the drive reaffirms its commitment to environmental sustainability, community engagement and responsible citizenship.
