Body of missing girl recovered from river Kunhar in Kaghan Valley

MANSEHRA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 2nd Jun, 2026) The body of a girl identified Fatima, one of the two children who went missing after falling into the River Kunhar from the Tarpi Bridge in Kaghan before Eid, has been recovered.

According to details, the body was found today from the river at Khaniyan area of the River Kunhar.

On the instructions of District Emergency Officer Mansehra Abrar Ali, Rescue 1122 Mansehra teams reached the site along with police personnel, local residents, and the family members of the deceased. After completing necessary legal formalities, the body was shifted to Kaghan Hospital through a Rescue ambulance.

Officials said that after completion of further legal procedures, the body will be handed over to the heirs.
