Body retrieved from canal

BAHAWALPUR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th May, 2026) The Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue-1122) personnel retrieved the body of an unknown man from a canal passing through Kot Daddu Ghalu area of the district.

According to a Rescue-1122 press release issued here, a call was received that a body was floating in the Shashmai Canal.

The control room dispatched an ambulance and rescue vehicle to the location, it said. The Rescue-1122 staff shifted the body to Bahawal Victoria Hospital, and the local police registered a case and started investigation.
