Boy killed after falling into open sewer pit in Muzaffargarh

MUZAFFARGARH, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Feb, 2026) A tragic accident in the Choubara tehsil of Layyah claimed the life of a four-year-old boy who

fell into an uncovered sewer pit outside his home.

According to the Rescue 1122, the incident occurred at Adda Rafiqabad, where the child,

identified as Abu Zar, accidentally fell into a sewer hole that had been dug outside the house.

The child’s father, Saddam Hussain, admitted responsibility, stating that the pit had been excavated

for sewerage work and left uncovered, which led to the fatal accident.

Authorities confirmed that the pit was sealed immediately after the incident to prevent further

accidents.
