Boy mauled to death by stray dogs in Nowshera

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Mar, 2026) A six-year-old boy was mauled to death by a pack of stray dogs while playing outside his home in the posh ASC Colony of Nowshera district.

According to police, the victim, Jamshed, son of Jan Muhammad, was attacked after he stepped out to play with friends.

A pack of stray dogs surrounded him and inflicted severe injuries.

Family members and local residents rushed the boy to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital for treatment, however, he succumbed to his injuries.

Initially, residents suspected the attack was carried out by a wild boar, but CCTV footage later confirmed that stray dogs were responsible.

Emotional scenes were witnessed during burial of the young boy.
