Bride's stolen jewellery worth Rs 8.5m recovered

MULTAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Jul, 2026) Police have recovered bridal jewelry worth Rs8.5 million stolen from a bride inside a marriage hall on MPS Road, solving a rare theft that occurred as she prepared for her wedding.

The theft took place within the jurisdiction of DHQ Police Station, where a gang allegedly stole jewellery belonging to the daughter of Hameedullah from inside the hall before fleeing, police said.

SHO Muhammad Shahbaz traced the suspects through a swift investigation and recovered the stolen jewelry. Police are continuing efforts to identify other gang members and determine whether they were involved in similar thefts elsewhere.

City Police Officer Sadiq Dogar commended the police team for prompt action and professional investigation, calling the recovery a significant success in solving an unusual theft inside a marriage hall.
