Buffer zone fire engulfs motorcycles parked at shopping centre

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 30th May, 2026) A huge fire torn through the parking facility of a private shopping center in Karachi’s Buffer Zone on Saturday, damaging several parked motorcycles.

According to details, firefighter officials informed that two fire brigade vehicles were rushed to the Shopping Emporium after a massive fire broke out in the building. Rescue teams immediately launched an operation to control the blaze and evacuate people trapped inside, private news channels reported.

Efforts to rescue those stranded in the building continued for several hours.

Rescue personnel successfully saved a minor girl and several other individuals who had been trapped in the fire and thick smoke.

Firefighters said the operation was challenging due to dense smoke billowing from the site, which hampered visibility and slowed efforts to bring the flames under control.

Authorities confirmed that no casualties had been reported. After an extensive operation, firefighters managed to extinguish the blaze, following which the cooling process was initiated to prevent the fire from reigniting.
