C& W Minister criticizes opposition leader Achakzai's statements, condemns tragedy of Chaman Phatak

QUETTA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 31st May, 2026) Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Balochistan , PML-N Parliamentary Leader and Provincial Minister for C&W Mir Saleem Ahmed Khosa on Sunday strongly condemned the Chaman Phatak blast and the recent incidents of unrest in the province.

He said these views while addressing a joint press conference.

He expressed sympathy with the affected families, no one could question the patriotism and Pakistaniness of the Pashtuns living in Pakistan, however, the things that create differences between the Baloch and Pashtun people are regrettable and condemnable.

He said that Mahmood Khan Achakzai is a big political figure and the opposition leader in the National Assembly, so his statements should show responsibility and caution.

Provincial General Secretary PML-N Jamal Shah Kakar, Member of National Assembly Akhtar Bibi, Provincial Ministers Mir Shoaib Noshirwani, Rahila Hameed Khan Durrani, Muhammad Khan Lehri, Mir Asim Kurd Gelu,¡ Haji Barkat Rind, Hadiya Nawaz Bahrani, Naseem-ur-Rehman Mullakhel and other leaders were also present at the press conference.

While Governor Balochistan Jaffar Khan Mandokhel was also present.

On this occasion, PML-N parliamentary leader and provincial minister Mir Saleem Khosa said that this time Eid was celebrated with simplicity due to the law and order situation.

He said that the statements made by opposition leader Mahmood Khan Achakzai during a rally held in Chaman to remind the people of Afghanistan and regarding the border are worrying.

Parliamentary Leader Mir Saleem Khosa said that Pakistan’s law has clear regulations regarding dual citizenship and no kind of illegal activity or interference in state affairs could be allowed.

Parliamentary Leader PML-N Mir Saleem Khosa said that the discussion about uprooting the border and forming a personal army in the Chaman rally is inappropriate and illegal, because the responsibility of security and defense in the country lies with the state institutions and the armed forces.

He said that the government is committed to creating an effective and safe mechanism for promoting trade on the Pak-Afghan and Pak-Iran borders so that along with security concerns, the economic interests of the people of the border areas can also be protected.

Talking about the budget, Mir Saleem Khosa said that the Muslim League (N) has always been in favor of fair distribution of resources among parliamentary parties and constituencies.

He made it clear that giving less development budget to the members of the Muslim League (N) compared to other parties would not be acceptable.

He said that he has also spoken to the Chief Minister of Balochistan in this regard and also wants to send a message through the media that the Constituencies of all elected representatives should be treated equally.

He appreciated the performance of Chief Minister of Balochistan Mir Sarfaraz Bugti and said that the Chief Minister is taking all political parties along and the Muslim League (N) would continue to fully support him.

He hoped that the law and order situation in Balochistan would further improve and the areas where problems exist would also be resolved soon.
