Cancer Daycare Centre opens at Children's Hospital

MULTAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Jun, 2026) A dedicated chemotherapy daycare centre for children with cancer was formally inaugurated at Children's Hospital Multan on Friday, providing structured outpatient treatment to more than 400 registered young patients on a daily basis.

Dean Children's Hospital Multan Prof Dr Muhammad Kashif Chishti performed the inauguration alongside prominent guests including Maulana Qari Muhammad Hanif Jalandhari, Dr Akhtar Malik, Azhar Baloch, Mian Jameel, Ahmad Malik, President Rotary Club Multan, Khawaja Muhammad Hussain, Atif Ashfaq and Adnan Chughtai.

Members of Rotary Club Multan, hospital professors, consultants, doctors, nurses and paramedical staff attended in large numbers.

The centre aims to deliver safe, timely and high-quality chemotherapy and allied medical services to paediatric cancer patients in a child-friendly environment. Officials described it as a significant milestone in strengthening cancer care facilities for children in the region.

Rotary Club Multan was acknowledged for its support in establishing the facility.
