Car gutted in Kohat blaze; Rescue 1122 averts casualties

KOHAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st May, 2026) A motorcar was completely destroyed after it caught fire near Khan Amir Hotel in Tehsil Lachi, Kohat, on Friday, officials said.

According to Rescue 1122, the blaze erupted suddenly for reasons yet to be confirmed, prompting an immediate response from firefighting teams who rushed to the scene and brought the flames under control.

Officials said the fire spread rapidly, likely fueled by a wiring short circuit and the presence of petrol in the vehicle, leaving it completely gutted.

No casualties were reported, as responders acted swiftly to contain the situation. Authorities have advised motorists to regularly inspect vehicle wiring and mechanical systems to help prevent similar incidents.
