RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th May, 2026) The district administration has intensified preparations for Eid-ul-Azha by reviewing arrangements for cattle markets to ensure security, smooth traffic flow, and better facilities for citizens and traders.

A meeting chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner General (ADCG) Maliha Sehar was held to review the administrative and security measures for the cattle markets to be established across the district during the Eid.

Officials from the police, traffic police, and other relevant departments attended the meeting.

The participants conducted a detailed review of security arrangements, traffic management plans, sanitation measures, lighting facilities, availability of clean drinking water, veterinary services, and emergency response mechanisms at the markets.

Special emphasis was placed on maintaining law and order, preventing congestion, and ensuring a clean and safe environment for visitors and livestock traders.

During the meeting, all concerned departments were directed to work in close coordination and provide maximum facilities to the public and traders.

Authorities were also instructed to ensure uninterrupted municipal services and adopt effective measures to avoid inconvenience to citizens during the busy Eid days.

Speaking on the occasion, ADCG Maliha Sehar said that ensuring public convenience and maintaining peace during Eid-ul-Azha remained the top priority of the district administration. She stressed that comprehensive security arrangements, effective traffic control, and strict cleanliness measures must be implemented at all cattle markets.
