The suspect, identified as Fareed Khan, had been declared a proclaimed offender in connection with a 2010 killing in the district, the police said.
According to officials, Khan fled the country shortly after the incident and had been living in Saudi Arabia while evading arrest for more than a decade.
He was apprehended on May 5 through a joint operation involving the CCD, the Federal Investigation Agency, and Interpol’s Islamabad office, the authorities said.
The police said the arrest highlights ongoing efforts to track down fugitives abroad through international coordination and technological tools.
