RAWALPINDI: Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada Anita Anand met with Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi on Monday to discuss regional security, bilateral relations and issues of mutual interest.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the two sides exchanged views on regional developments and explored ways to further strengthen cooperation between Pakistan and Canada.
Field Marshal Asim Munir outlined Pakistan’s perspective on global peace and regional stability, emphasizing the importance of international cooperation and collaborative efforts to address shared security challenges.
Anand praised Pakistan’s continued efforts and sacrifices in the fight against terrorism and acknowledged the country’s constructive role in promoting regional peace and stability.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing bilateral relations and expanding cooperation in the areas of defence and security.
