Ceasefire holds despite Strait of Hormuz blockade: Masood Khan

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Apr, 2026) Former ambassador to the United States, China and the United Nations, and former president of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Masood Khan said on Tuesday that Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts are helping sustain fragile peace, as a temporary US-Iran ceasefire holds despite rising tensions after a naval blockade was announced in the Strait of Hormuz.

He underscored that while the blockade introduces serious risks, the continuation of the ceasefire signals that diplomatic channels remain open.
