CEO Pakistan Railways commends Rawalpindi Division for operational affairs

RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st May, 2026) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Senior General Manager of Pakistan Railways Hafeez Ullah on Friday paid his first formal visit to the Rawalpindi Division after assuming charge, where he was briefed on operational performance, passenger facilities and revenue enhancement measures.

Divisional Superintendent, Rawalpindi, Nooruddin Dawar received the chief executive at the DS Office along with other divisional officers.

During a comprehensive meeting, the Divisional Superintendent gave a detailed briefing on the division’s overall performance, operational affairs, measures taken to improve passenger services, efforts to boost revenue and the challenges confronting the division. Officers from various departments also apprised the meeting of their respective performance and future plans.

Addressing on the occasion, CEO Hafeez Ullah commended the Rawalpindi Division for delivering improved results despite limited resources, and particularly praised the professional capabilities, leadership and team-building role of Divisional Superintendent Nooruddin Dawar.

He said the revival of Pakistan Railways and its development along modern lines required collective efforts from officers and employees alike, adding that merit, transparency and accountability would be ensured at every level to improve institutional performance.

The chief executive also assured officers and staff that his office would remain accessible for resolving issues and welcoming constructive proposals aimed at strengthening the organisation.

He expressed confidence that the Rawalpindi Division would continue to improve its performance and play a key role in the growth and development of Pakistan Railways.
