Ceremonies begin in Sanghar to mark first anniversary of Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos

SANGHAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd May, 2026) Formal celebrations have commenced across Sanghar district on Sunday to mark the completion of one year since the historic success of Operation “Bunyan-un-Marsoos” (Battle of Truth), with a dignified ceremony held at a local church symbolizing religious harmony, national unity and solidarity with the armed forces.

People belonging to Hindu, Muslim and Christian communities participated in large numbers and reaffirmed their commitment that followers of all faiths stood united for Pakistan’s progress, peace, stability and national security, while extending full support to the armed forces of the country.

Deputy Commissioner Sanghar Sarah Javed and member of the National Paigham-e-Aman Committee Pakistan, Rajesh Kumar Hardasani attended the event as chief guests.

Addressing the gathering, Deputy Commissioner Sarah Javed said that the success of the operation reminded the nation of the professionalism, capability and sacrifices of the Pakistan Army. She said the people of Pakistan slept peacefully because of the unmatched sacrifices rendered by the armed forces, whose commitment had made the country’s defence impregnable.

Other speakers said the historic success of the operation was a matter of great pride for the entire nation and would always be remembered. They said that by defeating the enemy, Pakistan’s armed forces had sent a clear message to the world that they remained fully prepared and determined to defend the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity at all times.

The event was followed by a cake cutting ceremony to celebrate the victory, where the participants paid glowing tribute to the Pakistan Army for its bravery and sacrifices. Special prayers were also offered for national unity, peace, stability, economic prosperity and the security of the country.

The ceremony concluded with special prayers led by Father Nazeer John for national security, economic stability, peace, brotherhood, interfaith harmony and the continued strength of Pakistan’s armed forces.

Deputy Director Information Zafar Ali Mangi, Abdul Majeed Rahmoon, Maryam Suleman, former councillor Nazeer Masih and a large number of prominent members of the Christian, Hindu and Muslim communities were also present on the occasion.
