Ceremony held on 75th Anniversary of Pakistan-China Bilateral Diplomatic Relationship

LARKANA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st May, 2026) Like the rest of the country, the 75th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic relationship between Pakistan and the People’s Republic of China was celebrated with great enthusiasm at the Divisional Information Office Larkana on Thursday.

On this occasion, the national flag of Pakistan was hoisted at the office, while officers and staff members participated in the ceremony and paid tribute to Pakistan-China friendship.

Addressing the ceremony, Information Officers Miraj Ahmed Samtio and Muhammad Aslam Khokhar said that the friendship between Pakistan and China has stood the test of time, which is why it is known as an “Iron Brotherhood” and an “All-Weather Friendship.”

They said that the relations between the two countries are not merely diplomatic in nature, but are based on strong foundations of brotherhood, trust, mutual respect, and shared development.

They further said that since the establishment of diplomatic relations, Pakistan and China have maintained close cooperation in political, economic, defense, educational, trade, and cultural sectors. China has always stood by Pakistan during difficult times, while Pakistan has consistently supported China on international matters. The leadership-level visits and agreements between the two countries have further strengthened bilateral relations.

It was also stated on the occasion that the Government of Pakistan is making continuous efforts to strengthen ties between Pakistan and China further, while the Government of Sindh is working day and night with Chinese assistance to improve infrastructure in the province.

Various Chinese companies are also investing in the region.

During the ceremony, the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) was described as a major milestone in the historic friendship between the two countries. It was said that CPEC projects have brought remarkable progress in Pakistan’s energy, highways, infrastructure, ports, and industrial sectors, boosting the national economy and creating new employment opportunities. CPEC was also termed a “game-changer” project for regional development and prosperity.

The speakers also emphasized that Pakistan-China friendship is not limited to government-level relations only; rather, the people of both countries also share mutual love, respect, and trust. Educational exchanges, cultural programs, media cooperation, and public interactions are further strengthening the ties between the two nations.

Participants of the ceremony expressed their resolve that Pakistan-China friendship would continue to grow stronger in the future, and cooperation for the progress, prosperity, and peace of both nations would continue. At the end of the ceremony, slogans of “Long Live Pakistan” and “Long Live Pakistan-China Friendship” were raised, and best wishes were expressed for the everlasting friendship, progress, and prosperity of Pakistan and China.
