Two candidates were caught red-handed while cheating at an examination centre in Hazro, Attock, as authorities intensified a province-wide crackdown under a zero-tolerance policy to ensure a transparent examination system

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Apr, 2026) Two candidates were caught red-handed while cheating at an examination centre in Hazro, Attock, as authorities intensified a province-wide crackdown under a zero-tolerance policy to ensure a transparent examination system.

According to a spokesman of the education board Rawalpindi, the action was taken at Government Boys High school No.1 Hazro, where cases were registered against the candidates on the spot and referred to the discipline branch for further proceedings. A supervisor was also removed from duty over violation of examination SOPs.

Board's pecial teams are conducting surprise visits to examination centres in different districts to ensure transparency and immediate action against any irregularities.

Controller of Examinations Tanveer Asghar Awan visited multiple centres including Government Associate College for Boys Khayaban-e-Sir Syed, Government High School Khayaban-e-Sir Syed, Government Associate College for Women Khayaban-e-Sir Syed, and several institutions in Hazro. During the visits, implementation of examination SOPs was thoroughly reviewed.

Officials said the zero-tolerance policy would be strictly enforced and no negligence, malpractice or violation of rules would be tolerated, adding that indiscriminate action would continue against those involved in unfair means.
