Chief Administrator Awqaf visits Sindhi Language Authority

Chief Administrator of the Awqaf Department, Mukhtar Ali Abro, visited the Sindhi Language Authority and held a meeting with its Chairman, Dr. Sher Mehrani, and discussed matters of mutual interest

HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st Apr, 2026) Chief Administrator of the Awqaf Department, Mukhtar Ali Abro, visited the Sindhi Language Authority and held a meeting with its Chairman, Dr. Sher Mehrani, and discussed matters of mutual interest.

During the meeting, Dr. Mehrani requested the Awqaf Department’s support in providing a suitable location in the city to establish a book house. He also emphasized the need for installing signboards in Sindhi at shrines managed by the Awqaf Department across Sindh to better guide devotees.

On the occasion, Mukhtar Ali Abro assured full cooperation, stating that efforts would be made, in coordination with the Sindhi Language Authority, to identify an appropriate site for setting up a library.

He noted that the initiative would help provide the general public with easier access to scientific, literary, and language-related books.

He further said that practical steps would be taken to install signboards in Sindhi at shrines under the Awqaf Department to facilitate visitors.

Former Chairman of the Sindhi Language Authority, Dr. Muhammad Ali Manjhi, was also present at the meeting.
