Chief authorities removed over 1,391 tonnes animal waste from various areas

ATTOCK, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th May, 2026) A district-wide cleanliness operation remained in full swing on the first day of Eidul Azha in Attock district on the special directives of Punjab Chief Minister, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, with authorities removing over 1,391 tonnes of animal waste and offal from various areas.

The operation was supervised by Deputy Commissioner Attock, Rao Atif Raza and Additional Deputy Commissioner General and Managing Director of Suthra Punjab Agency, Anil Saeed to ensure timely disposal of sacrificial waste and maintenance of cleanliness across the district.

According to the district administration, a total of 1,391.71 tonnes of offal and waste were collected and shifted to designated dumping sites from across the district on Eid’s first day.

The administration said 302.81 tonnes of waste were lifted from Attock tehsil, 286.395 tonnes from Hazro, 154.625 tonnes from Hassanabdal, 197.59 tonnes from Fateh Jang, 216.75 tonnes from Pindigheb and 233.54 tonnes from Jand tehsil.

Deputy Commissioner, Rao Atif Raza said all available resources were being utilised in line with the chief minister’s vision to provide a clean environment to the public, adding that the Suthra Punjab Agency, district administration and other relevant departments remained active in the field throughout the operation.

He appealed to citizens to cooperate with sanitation staff and ensure the use of officially provided waste bags and helplines for proper disposal of sacrificial remains.
