GWADAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Apr, 2026) Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, formally inaugurated the Chief Minister Annexe Gwadar and the Martyrs’ Memorial at M. Khumari Chowk during his visit to the port city.
These projects are being recognized as important steps toward urban development, strengthening administrative capacity, and honoring the sacrifices of local heroes.
During the ceremony, officials briefed the Chief Minister on the various aspects of the projects. The establishment of the Chief Minister Annexe is expected to improve the execution of government affairs and enhance public service delivery in Gwadar.
Meanwhile, the Martyrs’ Memorial at M. Khumari Chowk will serve as a tribute to the sacrifices of local heroes, preserving their memory and introducing their legacy to future generations.
Speaking at the event, Sarfraz Bugti emphasized that the government is taking practical measures to ensure Gwadar’s progress and prosperity, with special focus on aligning the city with modern requirements.
“The purpose of these development projects is not only to strengthen infrastructure but also to provide better facilities to the people,” he said.
Sarfraz Bugti highlighted that Gwadar’s development is directly linked to the overall progress of Balochistan and Pakistan, and the government is advancing with a comprehensive strategy under this vision. He reaffirmed his commitment to continue such initiatives in the future to transform Gwadar into a modern, dynamic, and prosperous city.
Governor Balochistan Sheikh Jaffar Khan Mandokhail and Member of Provincial Assembly Gwadar Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman accompanied the Chief Minister during the inauguration.
