QUETTA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th Jun, 2026) Chief Secretary Balochistan Shakeel Qadir Khan has emphasized that good governance and efficient service delivery are the fundamental rights of citizens, and it is the government’s responsibility to provide facilities transparently, effectively, and equitably.

He directed all departments to ensure transparency and efficiency in their service delivery.

Chairing a meeting of the Secretaries Committee, the Chief Secretary reviewed key matters including the completion of development projects, auction of old government vehicles, and preparation of PC-1s for ongoing schemes.

He instructed departments to ensure timely completion of development projects within the stipulated period.

The meeting was informed that out of 197 priority development projects, PC-1s for 138 projects have already been submitted to the concerned departments, while the remaining should be completed and dispatched without delay. The Chief Secretary also directed that the auction of old vehicles be conducted promptly, with transparency as the top priority, to prevent misuse of government registration numbers.

Shakeel Qadir Khan further instructed all officers to remain present at their postings to resolve public issues at the grassroots level, stating: “We are here to serve the people.” He added that the provincial government will take up the matter of vacant Federal quota posts to ensure employment opportunities for youth in Balochistan.

Highlighting the role of the Monitoring and Evaluation Section, the Chief Secretary noted that its effective oversight, regular reviews, and data-driven decisions have significantly improved transparency, timely completion of projects, and optimal use of resources.

The meeting reaffirmed the government’s commitment to good governance, transparency, and public service, with a focus on ensuring that development projects and administrative measures directly benefit the people of Balochistan.
