China calls for dialogue, stability in South Asia

BEIJING, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 8th Jun, 2026) A Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman on Monday reiterated his country’s support for resolving disputes through consultations between India and Pakistan, highlighting Beijing’s role in promoting dialogue-based solutions in South Asia.

"On India-Pakistan relations, China has made clear its position on multiple occasions. We support the two sides in properly handling differences through dialogue and consultation and jointly keeping the region peaceful and stable," Lin Jian said responding to recent remarks by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

China emphasized regional peace and stability, he said and added, China, Russia and India share common interests in fostering strong ties, which are vital for regional and global security.
