CHINIOT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Apr, 2026) The district administration has stepped up its anti-littering campaign, taking strict action against violators in a bid to improve sanitation and public health across the city. As part of the intensified drive, two shops were sealed on Monday on Jhang Road in Bhowana for dumping garbage on the roadside.
ADCG Wasiq Abbas Haral led the operation, conducting inspections in various areas of Bhowana and ordering immediate action against those found flouting cleanliness regulations. Officials said several shopkeepers were also issued warnings for disposing of waste improperly outside their premises.
Speaking on the occasion, Haral underscored the administration’s zero-tolerance policy, stating that not only fines but also sealing of shops would be enforced against repeat offenders.
He added that daily operations and targeted crackdowns would continue to ensure sustained improvements in sanitation standards.
The ADCG urged citizens to play their part in maintaining cleanliness, warning that strict legal action would be taken against those who ignore the rules. He emphasized that proper waste management is essential not only for a cleaner city but also for preventing diseases such as dengue and malaria, calling for collective efforts to make Chiniot a healthier and more livable place.
