Chiniot DC, DPO chair meeting on road safety, traffic law enforcement

CHINIOT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Apr, 2026) A meeting on road safety and traffic law implementation was held in Chiniot on Friday under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ayesha Rizwan and DPO Dr. Naveed Atif.

The session focused on reducing road accidents through better management and public awareness, reported by APP correspondent.

Officials from Rescue 1122, Secretary DRTA, Exxon Highways, Excise and Taxation ETO, COZ MCs, and other relevant departments attended.

The DC and DPO issued instructions to all departments regarding their roles in improving road safety across the district.

Exxon Highways was directed to improve road conditions, while traffic police were told to ensure 100% implementation of traffic laws.

Instructions were also issued to Punjab Highway Police and other agencies on various measures to enhance safety.

Officers said better management, enforcement, and awareness campaigns could significantly reduce road traffic accidents.
