Chiniot journalists visit Iranian cultural center, pay tribute to martyrs

CHINIOT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Apr, 2026) A delegation of the District Press Club Registered Chiniot on Thursday visited the Iranian Cultural Center, where they were warmly received by Director General Dr. Asghar Masoodi, along with Dr. Farhana Kazemi, Dua Fatima and other diplomatic staff.

The delegation, led by Shahid Mahmood Chaudhry, paid tribute on behalf of the journalist community to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and others described as martyrs. Speaking on the occasion, Shahid Mahmood Chaudhry said the sacrifices were a source of pride and expressed hope that the wider Muslim community would demonstrate unity in response to regional developments.

Director General Dr. Asghar Masoodi, in his remarks, welcomed the delegation’s visit and appreciated their gesture of solidarity. He stated that the conflict was not limited to Iran alone, but also reflected the suffering of civilians, particularly children, in Palestine.

Members of the visiting delegation included Vice President Mudassar Kazemi, Joint Secretary Talha Shabbir, President Union of Journalists Dr. Khalid Yasin, General Secretary Tahir Rashid Sial, Vice President Kashif Sultani, as well as Aqeel Malik and Sarfaraz Bhatti, among others.
