Chiniot officials review Muharram procession security arrangements in Lalian

CHINIOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th Jun, 2026) Deputy Commissioner (DC) Aisha Rizwan and DPO Dr. Naveed Atif visited the route of the main Muharram procession in Lalian to inspect security and other arrangements. Police officers and officials of allied departments were also present during the visit.

The officers examined the entire route of the main Muharram procession, including the Imambargah, sensitive points, internal and external routes, and roof duty positions.

They also met with organizers to discuss security measures and logistical arrangements for the processions.

Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Aisha Rizwan and DPO Dr. Naveed Atif directed allied departments to complete all necessary arrangements using available resources.

They stressed that foolproof security must be ensured during the processions in line with the approved security plan.The officers said the government’s code of conduct for Muharram would be implemented strictly, and law and order would be maintained by utilizing all resources during the holy month.
