CHINIOT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 31st Mar, 2026) Chiniot Police have arrested 70 drug peddlers across the district in March, recovering significant quantities of narcotics.

According to police sources, the haul includes over 33 kg of hashish, 8 kg of heroin, 1350 kg of opium, and 983 liters of alcohol, seized from different areas.

The crackdown is part of a full-scale operation against drug peddlers, initiated on the instructions of District Police Officer Dr. Naveed Atif.

Cases have been registered against the arrested peddlers under narcotics provisions, with further investigation underway.The police action reflects efforts to combat drug trafficking in Chiniot.

Authorities aim to curb the menace through sustained operations and strict action. The drive against narcotics continues, with police urging public cooperation to eradicate drug peddling.
